We design, administer, and implement grant-funded improvements in partnership with public agencies. This involves Healthy Starts going on-site to each beneficiary provider to assess facility safety needs and coordinate eligible improvements in compliance with applicable funding requirements.

All activities are delivered in coordination with the awarding jurisdiction and in accordance with CDBG Public Services eligibility requirements.
Step 1 | Emergency Preparedness & Life-Safety Procurement:
Healthy Starts works with local agencies to procure eligible life-safety equipment (AEDs, & Bleeding Control Kits.) for use by beneficiary facilities, in accordance with awarding jurisdiction requirements.
Step 2 | Emergency Preparedness & Life-Safety Training:
Healthy Starts ensures each facility operator is adequately trained as required for the safe and effective use of CDBG-funded life-safety equipment.
Step 3 | Emergency Preparedness & Life-Safety Placement:
Healthy Starts goes on-site with each beneficiary provider to ensure proper device placement within occupied program spaces, consistent with manufacturer guidance and awarding jurisdiction policies.
